Some of our favorite mountain biking trails in and around Moab

The Big Big Cheese

Epic 18-mile shuttle ride in the Navajo Rocks area encompasses Chisholm, Big Lonely, Big Mesa and Ramblin'. Can be done as a loop with a 8-mile pavement climb.

Captain Ahab

9-mile loop with 1500' of vertical. Very beautiful views and a fairly moderate climb up HyMasa. The downhill is tricky, even rated as double-black diamond in the lower section.

Big Chief/Great Pyramid

Within Dead Horse Point State Park, this 6-mile loop starts/ends at the yurt and has amazing views and easy/moderate riding.

Klondike Bluffs

Huge trail system North of the Moab Airport. We like EKG, Little Salty, Mega Steps and Alaska. But customize the ride to your own comfort and experience level.

Horsethief

Probably the easiest trails in Moab (with the exception of Upper Rowdy). Fun, short, easy, and not intimidating if you're trying to get your kids/spouse interested in MTB (the polar opposite of The Whole Enchilada).

Slickrock

11 miles of up and down and up and down again. Almost all of it is smooth sandstone which is incredibly grippy and great for climbing. Bring  lots of water and a camera!
